The Amazon Rainforest Economic Significance

The Amazon Rainforest holds Economic Significance to the South American economy.A main natural resource that is being extracted is the forests land, this is because they are building factories, raising cattle and agriculture crops(Soy beans mostly) and all of this needs wide open space, so the forest is cut down to make room for these industries.

There's alot of negative impact that this has on the Indigenious people, one of them are the logging.All of the trees are being cut down and in doing so, many homes to the wild life is being destroyed and plants are also being destroyed.Dairy farming and Agriculture has a big impact on the Indigenous people because both of them needs a wide open space so they cut down the forest to create a wide open space.The Indigenious people has to watch as their precious land and home is being destroyed.

There's also some positive impact on this and the main one is dairy farming.They are growing resources like beef and milk and their selling it out the world which is good for the economy and the business.Agriculture is another one because of the crops their producing that helps the farmers and the market.

My holiday

My holiday:

In the holidays I went up north to Kauri top ten-holiday park which isn't far from whangarei.The ride was about 3-4 hours long and we were all tired, especially me. After the long drive we finally made it to our destination.We went to the office and was told where our camp ground was so we went there and put up our tent, once that was done my siblings and I went down to the river for a swim.There was a floating tire in the middle of the river so I hoped into it and started floating down the river and that was when I got out.I went to grab my diving gear(Snorkels) and started looking for things in the river, and after diving for about 20-30 min I found necklesses, rings, coins, valuables and a fresh water crayfish. After doing all of that I decided I had enough so my siblings and I got out of the river, went to our tent to grab our clothes and headed for the showers.After we had our showers we got changed, put our wet clothes into the washing and headed to the kitchen for dinner.

Goals for 2019:
My goals for last year was to get great grades but I didn't get all excellents so this year(2019)I want to hopefully get excellent in all subject and get perfect grades.

Achieve - In my social study class, we studied about the light bulb which is a invention created by Thomas Edison and then was improved by Joseph Swan then more was improved by Hiram Maxim.This products is now being used by everyone across the globe and people are continuing to improve it even more like perhaps someone is making a light bulb that produces more light, perhaps someone is making the light bulb style even better or even someone is making it so that it doesn't need much energy.

What did the blocks and codes enable you to do with the Games? it allowed me to move around and turn around so I can get to the destination i'm suppose to go to.

What did you learn from this exercise? I learnt about coding and how to code to make things move around and turn and stuff.

Freedom Writer

I've learnt lots from watching freedom writers, for those who doesn't know or hasn't watched freedom writers, its a story in the US where these teenagers are living in the gang life and doesn't care for learning.It's a story where the teenagers that are in the gang life becomes friends with their teacher Ms Gruwell and creates a bond, that bond makes the teenagers change their way they act  and those that were in the gang life leaves like Marcus, he leaves the gang life and wants to live with his mom because he missed her.

After watching the movies, I've learnt not to join the gang life because when Eva Benitez gang shot sindy boyfriends, Eva went to court and told the judges that it was one of Eva gang member who killed Sindy boyfriend.After it was over, Eva was ambushed by her follow Gang members and wanted to kill her and I don't wanna die.


I've also learnt that no one is the same and everyone has their own opinion on others like how Eva said that she hated white people and Ms Gruwell was white, I'd think thats not something to say when she's trynna help these teenagers but their treating her like dirt. Never judge a book by its cover mate.

Social Studies

What are laws? They are rules in countries and communities that people live by and obey them.Those who don't follow these rules and break them, they shall be punished.

So why do we follow these rules? Some of these rules protect us and keep us safe like in some countries, buying any kind of gun or weapon you must be approved by and registered by the police, you'll also need a firearms license and without meeting all of these requirements, it will be impossibe to get your hand on a gun.The government are the one's who makes these rules and they make them to protect us but some rules aren't for us(Wheither your in USA, Russia, NZ etc) some government makes rules to limit the amount of outsiders into the countries.


Which Minister Would I Be?
If I could choose to be any minister in New Zealand for a day, I would be the minister of justice because I want to uphold the law and want to make New Zealand safer.My mom sister is the judge in the court room and from what I hear from her, her job is kinda cool but tough decision needs to be made, She needs to pick how long the man or female punishment will be and that could be tough like if they didn't do something too bad like stealing from shops then their punishment should be for a month but if they did something longer then it should be longer,It sounds easy but from what I hear its really hard.I would add death row into New Zealand because we only live once and death row will cut your life time immediately and with death row, no one would want to die so no one will do any bad thing ever again and that will make our country safer.

Microchipping Cats

Who's Involved In It? - The SPCA, The Morgan Foundation, Animal Welfare and Veterian Experts.

When will it happen? - They'll do it in 2050

Issue:

1) Microchipping

2) De-Sex

3) Only 1 cat per household

I strongly agree for the microchipping part but when it comes to the 1 cat per household then I strongly disagree.

My perspective on this "Microchipping Cat Project" isn't bad because their not trying to kill the cats but more to help stop them from killing natures precious pets which are birds.Their going to try and make it compolsory to microchip your cat, De-Sex them and make it so your only allowed to have 1 cat in your household which I think isn't fair because if your a cat lover and you have lots of cats, then you have to get rid of them which I feel isn't right because what are you gonna have to do with your other cats if you have more than 1?
You'll have to give them away to a friend but what happens if your friend already have a cat then what are you supose to do, you'll have to try and sell them but what happen if no one would want one? You'll have to put it down which I think isn't good.But atleast this isn't gonna happen till the government agree with this and if it does, then we'll have to wait till 2050.

My 2nd perspective on this is thinking that this is a bad idea because sure, protecting the unique life of nature is important but think about the cats.De-Sexing and micrchipping them is good for keeping an eye on them but think about the pain they'll have to suffer and live through tho.They'll never be able to have babies and be a family and microchipping them would be painful.Imagine your the cat and your getting De-Sex and getting microchipped, I know that all this is to protect the unique animals of the nature but this is kinda wrong.

I value turtles because when they are small(Babies)they are cute, they walk slow which is kinda funny because the way they walk is like their on the moon but has gravity. Plus, their home is with them like literally, it's on their back so if someone or something tryna harm them, they can go into their homes and lock the predator out.They can also swim, saldy I can’t swim but that’s ok.

What is white ribbon about? White ribbon day is about to rise above family voilence, At my school; Tamaki college, they did a presentation on what white ribbon is about and why it's important.Lots of young childrens grows up in violent family and then they become like or even more violent than their parents because they would've learnt it from their parents.

On Thursdays 29th of November, we did star mentoring activity day which is like an athletic day but I think a little bit different.My day was pretty alright with all the activity because all of them was fun and enjoyable.My favourite one would be the 3 man slingshot one where you had to use rop to get a oil can that had toxic waste then after you did the 3 shot slingshot.I was with Mayjah, Vuni and Cj(Cj only did it once then he left).I was SAVVY at team work for slingshot because I help

Business in the community

What does business mean? It's where a group of people runs a place and can trade things for other people.It's an organisation that produces goods and services for other people to buy and gain profit.

Why are business good for us? It's good for us because it provides job for people so they can earn money to support their family and are able to pay their bill.Not all business are the same, some business provides us with different things like some businesses provides food and water for us to survive, some sells petrol so our cars can work and much more.

Are businesses good for the local community? it depends, if the business is selling food and water then yes thats good but some business could try and scam you, if you don't know what scamming is, well its where you pay for something but its not in good use(that means its broken in the inside but looks good and can work on the out side).Same with drinks, you pay for a 500ml drink but they only give you 450ml but it looks like 500ml.
